The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH is a medium to large sized room air purifier with a 4-stage HEPA filtration system. The AP-1512HH quietly purifies air in rooms up to 361 square feet. Air purification is achieved using one of five air flow control settings.
The Airmega AP-1512HH filter system includes a pre-filter, deodorization filter, True HEPA filter and a Bipolar Device. Where the physical filters are concerned, the pre-filter traps larger particles and extends the life of the HEPA filter. The deodorization filter is a Carbon Filter which is designed to eliminate odors and gases.
The True HEPA filter captures 99.97% of airborne particles and irritants including dust mites, pollen, mold, pet dander, bacteria, germs and even viruses.
The Bipolar Device or Vital Ionizer caputres ultra fine particles including viruses and bacteria which may have made it past the True HEPA filter. This is achieved by way of an electro-chemical reaction.
