I’ve made the switch. What’s working for me is good old milk of magnesium. Just pour a nickel size amount in your hands, rub together and apply to underarms. Let dry before putting on clothes. Sounds crazy, but do some research!

Hi. I loved your article snd thank you for the information and the recommendations for aluminum free deodorants. I just learned about the affects that regular deodorants can have on your health and tossed out my regular deodorants and making a change immediately. Hello, I enjoyed your article on natural deodorant. I recently discovered Lume. I’m not sure how natural you would consider this deodorant, but I have been using it for a couple weeks, and it does what it said it would do. It operates using an acid to kill odor-causing bacteria. No baking soda, and no anti-perspirant. I would love to get your opinion on it as far as its natural/safety score. You can find it at lumedeodorant.com. Thank you.

This post is great! I’ve tried about 6 different natural deodorants over the past year or so with no real success and some really impressive rashes from baking soda sensitivity. Just starting using Each and Every (only been a few days, so let’s see), and was wondering if you’ve tried this/had an opinion.

I’ve started using natural deodorants in the last few months. First I tried was Fine cosmetics – Vetiver Geranium, which I really liked, but has a pretty steep price tag. I’m now trying Salt & Stone, which is cheaper, but harder to apply.

Just wondering if you’ve tried either of these, and if/how they stack up against the ones you’ve liked best?

My mom has started using Lume and loves it. Do you have any thoughts on this brand. I didn’t love the scent she gave me to try, but it seemed to work. My Primally pure came in the mail today, so I’m excited to try it.

Another endorsement here for Little Seed Farm’s cucumber cream deodorant! I’ve tried five or six natural deos since ditching my Secret stick a few years ago and finally just stopped wearing it altogether after losing hope I’d find one that worked without causing a painful, itchy rash. I recently discovered LSF thanks to an Instagram ad (!) and am SO pleased with their product.
